The Australian Open is always a wonderful time in Melbourne; hot summer nights are less of a bother when there’s an exciting game of tennis to watch. And this year, especially, there’s more than tennis to view: there’s also the impressive attire the best in world tennis are parading on the court each day.
Here’s my pick of the hottest looks so far:
Serena Williams’ purple Nike dress, with the accent-colour band of orange at the waist, is, well, fierce. It’s colour blocking at its best – and I love the headband.
Julia Goerges looks truly matchy matchy in this aqua number from Fila – but she really makes it work. Right down to the aqua trim in her runners.
I LOVE this look from Venus Williams – it’s from her own fashion house, EleVen, and the soft colours are flattering and it’s a print that wouldn’t look amiss on a cocktail frock. LOVE.
I also love this from Stella McCartney for Adidas – Caroline Wozniacki wears it so well. And it wouldn’t be tennis fashion if there wasn’t a hint of yellow.
Speaking of yellow, how can you not love this gorgeous number on Ana Ivanovic? Stunning.
